Play was fairly even in the first half then Fort Saskatchewan controlled play for the last half of the first.

A misplay behind the net led to Fort Sask’s first goal early in the second.

Fort Sask then had a goal called off due to a high stick with 13:49 left in the second.

Shots were 11-9 in the second favoring Fort Sask.

Sherwood Park started the third on the PP. They had a couple of good looks on the PP but could not score. The Phantoms dominated the first eight minutes of the third.

Ethan Nutall made a big breakaway save with 10:30 left in the third.

Fort Sask scored on a rebound with 9:18 left in the third.

Sherwood Park hit the crossbar with 8:34 left in the third.

Sherwood Park was finally rewarded for strong play with a goal, but Fort Sask scored an empty-net goal with 24 seconds left to seal the game.

The final shots were 35-30 for Fort Sask. Third-period shots were 12-8 in favor of Sherwood Park.
